We currently have two open positions supporting territories across the United States. This is a hybrid inside and outside sales position that combines account management, business development, customer relationship building, and field sales.

Schedule & Travel This is a hybrid inside/outside sales position based out of our Clearwater, FL office. The position follows a structured schedule of approximately: 3 weeks in the Clearwater office + 1 week traveling throughout your assigned territory Pelican Int'l's sales territories span the Midwest, South, Central, and Eastern regions of the United States. Each Regional Sales Manager will be assigned a specific territory based on business needs and experience. The travel portion of the role will involve regular out-of-state travel throughout the United States , including customer visits, prospect meetings, project visits, sales presentations, trade shows, and industry events. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent overnight travel and spending approximately one week per month on the road. The Role As a Regional Sales Manager, you will manage and grow an established book of business while actively developing new accounts and project opportunities throughout your assigned territory. During your time in the office, you'll focus on inside sales, account management, customer follow-up, quoting, prospecting, project development, and coordinating opportunities with customers and our internal team. During your travel week, you'll be in the field meeting with existing customers, developing new accounts, visiting projects, conducting sales calls and presentations, and building relationships throughout your territory. This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who understands the building-products industry and is comfortable balancing inside sales, account management, prospecting, and face-to-face field sales. Key ResponsibilitiesInside Sales & Account Management Manage and grow an established book of business Develop strong, long-term relationships with existing customers Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist with quotes and orders Follow up on leads, opportunities, quotes, and active projects Prospect for new accounts through phone, email, and other outreach Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships Work closely with Pelican Int'l's internal team to coordinate pricing, product information, samples, marketing materials, and project support Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records Consistently follow up with customers and prospects to move opportunities forward Outside Sales & Business Development Travel approximately one week per month, including out-of-state travel throughout the United States Meet with contractors, builders, developers, distributors, architects, designers, and other industry professionals Conduct in-person sales calls, product presentations, project meetings, and customer visits Identify new accounts and project opportunities Develop relationships with key decision-makers and purchasing contacts Pursue upcoming construction, renovation, and development projects Introduce customers to Pelican Int'l's product portfolio and identify opportunities to incorporate our products into their projects Attend trade shows, industry events, networking events, and customer meetings Represent Pelican Int'l professionally throughout the territory Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity within the territory Required Qualifications Previous sales experience in the building materials or construction industry is required Experience selling products such as flooring, countertops/surfaces, sinks, faucets, plumbing products, cabinetry, windows & doors, or other construction-related products Proven experience in both inside and outside sales Experience managing an existing book of business while actively developing new accounts Strong understanding of the construction and building-products sales process Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships Proven ability to prospect, generate new business, and grow existing accounts Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills Self-motivated and comfortable balancing office-based sales activity with field sales Strong organizational and time-management skills Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including out-of-state travel throughout the United States Comfortable with frequent overnight travel Valid driver's license and reliable transportation What We're Looking For We're looking for a relationship-driven sales professional who knows the building-products industry and knows how to sell within it.
