About Flavine Flavine is an international pharmaceutical company specializing in the sourcing, development and distribution of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and pharmaceutical products, with operations across North America, Europe and Asia. As part of our continued expansion in the United States, Flavine North America is launching a new business unit dedicated to the U.S. pharmaceutical compounding market , combining pharmaceutical ingredient supply with analytical testing services. We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to help build this activity from the ground up. The Opportunity This is not a traditional account-management position. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing Flavine's presence in the U.S. compounding market, initially focusing on the supply of APIs and pharmaceutical ingredients to compounding pharmacies , while progressively developing commercial opportunities for analytical testing services for compounded preparations . You will have the opportunity to build a customer portfolio, influence the development of our product and service offering, and become a key contributor to a new strategic business unit within Flavine North America. Key Responsibilities API & Pharmaceutical Ingredient Sales Develop sales of APIs and pharmaceutical ingredients to 503A compounding pharmacies, 503B outsourcing facilities, hospital pharmacies and other qualified customers . Identify and acquire new customers across the United States. Develop strong, long-term relationships with pharmacy owners, pharmacists, purchasing managers and other key decision-makers. Identify high-demand APIs and emerging opportunities within the U.S. compounding market. Present Flavine's product portfolio, sourcing capabilities, quality standards and supply-chain expertise. Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate pricing and supply conditions. Manage opportunities from initial prospecting through qualification, quotation and commercial conversion. Monitor customer activity, sales, margins and competitive developments. Analytical Testing Services Develop business opportunities for Flavine's growing U.S. analytical-services activity, including: Physicochemical testing HPLC and related analytical testing Microbiological testing Sterility testing Stability and Beyond-Use-Date (BUD) studies Other testing services supporting compounded preparations Work closely with Flavine's laboratory and quality teams to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate testing proposals. Build recurring analytical-service relationships with compounding pharmacies and outsourcing facilities. Business Unit Development Because this is a new business unit , the successful candidate will also contribute to: Developing Flavine's U.S. compounding commercial strategy. Identifying priority APIs and market opportunities. Providing market intelligence on pricing, competitors and customer requirements. Participating in industry conferences, exhibitions and compounding-pharmacy events. Building relationships with industry associations and key opinion leaders. Supporting the development of marketing materials and commercial tools. Establishing sales forecasts, KPIs and territory-development plans. Working directly with Flavine North America management on the growth of the business unit. Candidate Profile We are looking for a commercially driven individual who understands the U.S. compounding market and can open doors and develop new business . Required 5-10 years of B2B sales or business-development experience in pharmaceutical compounding, pharmaceutical ingredients, APIs or a closely related field. Demonstrated experience selling to compounding pharmacies and/or 503B outsourcing facilities . Existing network within the U.S. compounding industry. Proven ability to prospect, acquire and develop new customers. Strong understanding of consultative pharmaceutical sales. Ability to work independently and develop a territory. Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-management skills. Willingness to travel regularly throughout the United States. Based in New Jersey or the greater New York/New Jersey area . Highly Valued Experience with one or more of the following: APIs and pharmaceutical raw materials 503A compounding pharmacies 503B outsourcing facilities USP/NF pharmaceutical ingredients Pharmaceutical analytical testing Microbiology and sterility testing Stability/BUD studies Pharmacy purchasing and procurement Pharmaceutical quality and regulatory requirements Previous experience with a major supplier to the U.S. compounding industry would be particularly relevant.
