Job Description
Director of Sales - Hyatt Place Columbia / Harbison LRP Hotels LLC, a growing company with many opportunities for continued career progression, is currently seeking a Director of Sales for our Hyatt Place Columbia / Harbison Responsibilities of the Director of Sales will include developing revenue for the hotel through successful networking, client meetings, cold calls, tele-prospecting calls, exhibitions, presentations, trade shows & open days, ensuring all revenue targets are achieved, and exceeded;
- Developing and maintaining relationships with existing Top customers via meetings, phone calls and emails
- Direct sales activity to win new business and increase turnover and profitability of the customer's base
- Improve customer satisfaction and loyalty with a superior account management service
- Identifying potential new opportunities and establishing contact with decision makers within those organizations, making presentations to managers and front-end users and generally creating a favorable image of the Hotel
- Representing the Company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
- Complete a weekly report of all the Sales activity completed specifying the results achieved
- Cooperating with all Company departments
- Weekly revenue management meetings with the revenue manager and General Manager to ensure proper alignment in the market.
- Inputting Group and Banquet and Meeting room bookings into computer system and communicating with Hotel Staff of guest needs. BEO's
- Reviewing group bookings daily to ensure rooms are managed correctly.
Profit Management:
- Meets or exceeds budgeted RevPAR for hotel.
- Accurately forecasts revenues as well as occupancy changes based on changing market conditions (i.e. changes in supply and demand).
- Forecasts occupancy fluctuations and directs selling activities to maximize revenue.
- Analyzes and adjusts marketing plan on a continual basis to reflect market trends.
- Ensures that hotel team is trained in effective sales techniques and that these techniques are regularly followed.
- Produces departmental reports accurately and on a timely basis.
- Understands the hotel's demand segments, sources of business for each, and can balance market segments in accordance with supply/demand.
- Knows the principal competition for each demand segment and can take advantage of the hotel's relative strengths against each.
- Identifies major revenue opportunities.
