Role:

The Regional Director of Business Development for HMG plays a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding the organization's presence within the skilled nursing sector across the North Western areas of Texas. This leadership position is responsible for developing and executing strategic business development plans that align with corporate objectives and market opportunities. The role requires building and nurturing strong relationships with healthcare providers, payers, and referral sources to increase patient admissions and revenue streams. The Director will lead a team to identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of services. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance the organization's competitive positioning and contribute significantly to its long-term success in the skilled nursing market.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in business development within the skilled nursing or post-acute care industry. Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business growth strategies in healthcare settings. Strong knowledge of skilled nursing operations, reimbursement models, and regulatory environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline. Experience managing a business development team in a multi-state or national healthcare organization. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare data analytics. Established network of contacts within the skilled nursing and post-acute care sectors. Certification in healthcare business development or related professional credentials.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies targeting skilled nursing facilities and related healthcare partners. Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including hospital discharge planners, physicians, and insurance providers to drive patient referrals. Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure advantageous partnerships and service agreements. Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and operations teams to align business development initiatives with organizational goals and ensure high-quality service delivery. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge. Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, outcomes, and forecasts to senior leadership.

The Director will utilize strategic planning and analytical skills daily to assess market opportunities and develop targeted growth initiatives. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for building partnerships and securing contracts with healthcare providers and payers. Leadership and team management skills are applied to guide and motivate the business development team toward achieving organizational goals. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and reimbursement processes ensures compliance and optimizes financial performance.
