Job Description
Sunaura Solar is a growing solar services company specializing in solar installation, solar removal and reinstallation, and solar maintenance. We work with homeowners, contractors, and industry partners to solve complex solar problems. We're hiring a Business Development Manager to build predictable sales growth through contractor partnerships, referrals, outbound prospecting, and disciplined follow-up. What You'll Own Prospect daily through outbound calling, email, networking, referrals, and partner outreach. Build and manage relationships with contractors and strategic referral partners. Identify opportunities for solar installation, removal and reinstallation, and maintenance. Conduct discovery calls, qualify opportunities, prepare proposals, and close new business. Manage prospects from first contact through signed agreement and payment collection. Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline stages, forecasts, and follow-up tasks. Coordinate closely with operations and project management to ensure sold work can be delivered profitably. Develop a repeatable partner-development and sales process. Track and improve activity, conversion rate, pipeline value, completed revenue, and collected cash. What Success Looks Like Within your first 90 days, you will: Build a targeted list of potential referral and contractor partners. Establish a consistent weekly prospecting and follow-up cadence. Generate qualified opportunities and proposals. Close profitable new business. Create a predictable pipeline for Sunaura Solar. Maintain clean CRM data and clear next steps on every opportunity. You will be measured by qualified opportunities, partner meetings, close rate, completed projects, collected revenue, and gross-margin discipline. Who You Are Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, construction, solar, roofing, electrical, or home services. Comfortable prospecting instead of waiting for leads. Strong communicator and relationship builder. Organized, persistent, and accountable. Able to manage both strategy and daily execution. Competitive, coachable, and comfortable being measured by results. Existing contractor or construction relationships are a major plus. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $45,000
Commission:
