Automotive Pre-Owned Sales Manager An established, high-volume dealership group in Central Virginia is seeking an experienced Automotive Pre-Owned Sales Manager to lead our sales team and pre-owned inventory operations. Key Responsibilities Department Performance & Profitability:
Develop and execute annual unit and gross-profit plans, analyze market trends, and set aggressive yet achievable sales quotas.
Inventory Management & Pricing:
Utilize vAuto to monitor supply and demand, evaluate trades, manage vehicle reconditioning, and strategically set competitive pricing.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team through active coaching, daily closing assistance, and consistent performance management.
Operations & Deal Structuring:
Oversee daily sales operations, manage inventory turn, and step in as needed to assist with Finance/F&I duties to optimize PVR and deal approval turnaround.
Client & Market Engagement:
Maintain high customer satisfaction standards, build long-term client relationships, and keep pace with evolving pre-owned market dynamics.
Position Requirements Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of proven automotive sales experience, with at least 2 years in a Pre-Owned Sales Manager / Director role.
Systems Proficiency:
Strong working knowledge of vAuto , MS Office, and digital CRM platforms ( Reynolds & Reynolds experience is a strong plus ).
F&I Versatility:
Ability to structure deals and perform Finance Manager duties when necessary to drive product penetration and total front/back-end profitability.
Leadership & Closing:
Exceptional closing skills, strong negotiation ability, and a proven track record as a positive, accountability-driven team leader.
