Mountlake Terrace, WA Job Details $100,000 - $130,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Industrial manufacturing sales experience Coaching Managing sales strategy or development teams Client relationship development Sales team management Relationship management Time-based sales targets Corporate sales environment Sales leadership Closing sales leads Full Job Description The Director of Sales owns revenue results for an assigned region — leading and managing a regional sales team made up of 'Business Development Managers' and ' Regional Account Managers' while continuing to sell and manage designated key accounts directly. This role unifies what were previously separate Aftermarket Sales and New Product (capital boiler) Sales responsibilities into a single accountable regional owner and maintains Cole Industrial's key manufacturer relationships and product line expectations within the territory. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Own the revenue number, sales backlog, and close rate on qualified opportunities for the assigned region. Personally manage a portfolio of key accounts, covering both aftermarket/service revenue and capital boiler (new product) sales — previously split across separate roles. Designate and support "Key Corporate Account" assignments within the region with Business Development Mgr(s) and Account Mgr(s). Lead, manage and develop the region's Business Development Manager(s) and Account Manager(s); Set-up Individual Pro Formas, provide employee reviews, set territory priorities and hold the team accountable to pipeline status, revenue targets, number of BPO reports, participation in presentations including training and webcasts, etc. Maintain factory relations and grow business with key equipment manufacturers that support the region's capital sales. Coordinate closely with the region's Service Supervisor so sales commitments translate into deliverable, well-scoped work for operations. The focused regional TEAM is made up of Business Development Mgr(s), Account Mgr(s), and Service Supervisor. Own pricing and order-capture decisions for the region within company guidelines, in partnership with the Director of Marketing and VP of Sales and Marketing. Represent the region in forecasting, pipeline review, product promotions, and account-strategy discussions with the VP of Sales and Marketing. Develop focused strategy on vertical markets, products, and clients. Partner with the Coordination Manager to ensure a smooth handoff of new orders into project coordination and delivery. Utilization and interface with 'ACUMATICA' for opportunities (updated status), order details (project quotes), regional sales reports (monthly and annual), quarterly TEAM project reviews, and employee expense reports. Required Qualifications 5+ years of sales experience in industrial equipment, mechanical services, or a closely related field, including experience carrying both project/capital and recurring/aftermarket revenue. Demonstrated ability to lead and coach a sales team while still personally carrying and closing accounts. Strong relationship-management skills with manufacturers, engineers, and/or facility owners. Comfortable owning a revenue number for a defined territory and being held accountable to it. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling into industrial, institutional, or municipal boiler/mechanical systems. Existing relationships with manufacturers relevant to Cole Industrial's product lines. CRM/ERP proficiency and experience running a structured sales pipeline while maintaining an updated status for all opportunities and quotations, utilizing detailed order process within the system and accurately forecasting product line targets. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Primarily office and field-based; regular travel throughout the assigned region to visit customers, job sites, and team members. Occasional travel outside the region for manufacturer or company meetings. This position may be subject to bending, climbing, grasping, hearing, sitting, standing, talking, seeing, walking, and carrying and lifting up to 50 lbs. This position may be exposed to dangerous machinery, physical harm, hazardous chemicals, and/or extreme noise."
