Responsibilities Operate cash registers accurately, handling retail sales transactions with speed and precision. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end. Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, encouraging sales through effective upselling techniques. Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive store appearance and ensure product availability. Assist with light meal prep and service. Support inventory management by participating in stocking activities and monitoring stock levels regularly. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems confidently for processing transactions. Maintain clear communication with cook and management staff. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering roles is preferred, especially in grocery or general merchandise stores. Servsafe food handler experience Leadership skills are a plus. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is essential for success in this role. Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette will help foster positive customer interactions. Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail store product knowledge enhances your ability to assist customers confidently.
