A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

Lead activities of employees in a Cashier position or below and will also perform duties of a Cashier. Operate a cash register and complete transactions You will collect cash from customers or employees in payment for goods or services and records amounts received May make credit card transactions and may be required to know value and features of items for which money is received. Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
