Duties Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly. Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer balancing at shift end. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism. Conduct product demos when needed to showcase features and benefits of store merchandise. Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing products to enhance store presentation. Engage in upselling by suggesting complementary products to increase sales opportunities. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support team members through supervising experience when applicable, helping to train new staff or oversee daily operations. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering, preferably in grocery or retail stores. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations. Strong basic math skills for handling transactions and balancing cash drawers. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated customer service excellence with a friendly, positive attitude. Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations is preferred. Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not required. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks associated with stocking and merchandising.
