HOURLY WAGE + TIPS MINIMUM 5 YEARS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Head Cashier to deliver excellent customer service and help keep our market and dining area running smoothly. This position includes cashier responsibilities, food preparation and packaging support, stocking, cleaning, and completing assigned side work. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional service. Accurately process orders, payments, refunds, and cash transactions according to company procedures. Verify orders for accuracy, proper packaging, and completeness before handing them to customers. Support the food service line with basic food preparation, packaging takeout orders, and restocking supplies. Restock market shelves, refrigerators, beverages, and checkout displays; keep products organized and properly labeled. Check expiration dates regularly, rotate inventory so earlier-expiring products sell first, and remove expired or damaged products according to company procedures. Keep the market, checkout area, and surrounding workspaces clean and organized. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenish bathroom supplies, and empty trash. Maintain a clean and welcoming dining area, including tables, chairs, floors, and condiment stations. Restock utensils, napkins, bags, containers, and other service supplies. Help coordinate cashier tasks and set an example through teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail. Follow all company procedures, preparation instructions, food safety standards, and cleaning checklists. Complete all assigned side work, including opening and closing duties, cleaning, restocking, food preparation, and daily checklists, within the required timeframe. Handle customer concerns professionally and notify management when assistance is needed. Requirements At least 5 years of customer service experience. Cash handling and POS system experience. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy, high-volume environment. Ability to work in hot and cold environments, including near the food service line and in refrigerated storage areas, with appropriate safety measures. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, including standing for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation. Willingness to assist wherever needed, including food preparation, stocking, and bathroom cleaning. Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks thoroughly and on time. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive, team-focused attitude. Previous lead cashier, restaurant, grocery, or market experience preferred.
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
