This role involves welcoming customers, taking food and beverage orders, processing payments, answering basic questions about menu items and coffee offerings, and helping maintain a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy specialty coffee environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service. Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately. Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments. Answer basic questions about coffee, beverages, food items, and café offerings. Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly with baristas and team members. Provide receipts and assist with dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders. Organize completed orders and help maintain efficient customer flow. Keep the register, counter, and customer-facing areas clean and organized. Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, coffee supplies, and other café items. Assist baristas and coworkers with routine café duties during busy periods. Support opening, closing, and other daily coffee shop responsibilities. Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures. Communicate customer concerns or service issues to the appropriate team member. Qualifications Previous cashier, coffee shop, café, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to customers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Comfortable learning and using POS systems. Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Interest in coffee and willingness to learn menu items and café procedures.
