Duties Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, including scanning items, processing payments, and issuing receipts Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift Upsell products and promote ongoing sales or promotions to enhance the customer experience and increase store revenue Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising to ensure a clean, attractive shopping environment Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or coordinating store activities over the phone Support product demos when needed to educate customers about features and benefits of various items Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing the cash drawer Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking or merchandising Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, grocery items, and merchandising principles is advantageous Supervising experience is a bonus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated for potential growth opportunities Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while developing your retail expertise.
