Duties Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions accurately and managing cash drawer handling with integrity. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections. Conduct product demos and upselling to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store remains clean, tidy, and well-merchandised. Maintain knowledge of store products, including grocery items and convenience store essentials, to assist customers effectively. Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or directing calls professionally. Support inventory management by stocking new products and participating in periodic stock counts. Experience Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with retail operations. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in overseeing daily store activities. Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is essential for smooth transactions. Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities enhance customer interactions. Experience in merchandising, product demos, upselling, and retail math will help maximize sales potential. Knowledge of cashiering procedures, cash handling protocols, and basic math ensures accuracy during transactions.
