Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truckstop Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face greeting travelers and ensuring smooth transactions at our busy truckstop. This energetic role combines customer service excellence with efficient food and retail sales operations. You'll handle cash register operations, process food and retail transactions, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment for all visitors. Responsibilities Operate POS systems to process sales accurately for food, beverages, and retail items Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring quick service and upselling to enhance guest experience Prepare simple food items in accordance with food safety standards, including handling and sanitation of kitchen equipment Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation protocols, including cleaning restrooms and cleaning counters regularly Handle cash register operations, processing cash transactions with accuracy while providing excellent customer service Assist customers with retail sales transactions, offering product recommendations and upselling where appropriate Ensure food safety management by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining compliance with health regulations Experience Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in cashiering, POS systems and retail math calculations Strong time management skills to handle high-volume customer flow efficiently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic math skills necessary for processing cash transactions accurately Experience working in grocery stores or retail environments that involve food handling and sanitation practices Join us in creating a welcoming space where travelers feel appreciated!
