Duties Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including fuel, convenience store items, and services Handle cash, credit card payments, and manage the cash drawer with precision and integrity Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos or recommendations Stock shelves, maintain clean and organized store displays, and ensure products are properly merchandised to attract shoppers Upsell products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Conduct product knowledge demonstrations when appropriate to promote featured items or new arrivals Maintain safety protocols at the pump area and inside the store while adhering to phone etiquette standards when communicating with customers or team members Requirements Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred; familiarity with retail math and merchandising is a plus Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs Experience with cash register operations, cashiering, and cash handling procedures Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts Supervising experience is advantageous for potential leadership opportunities within the team Knowledge of POS systems and retail store product knowledge enhances your ability to succeed in this role Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette This position is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in a lively environment, enjoy engaging with people, and are eager to develop their retail expertise.
