A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

Role:
The Cash Applications Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the Cash Applications team to ensure quality and accurate completion of assigned work in cash receipts, payment posting, cash reconciliation. Scope includes all LifeBridge Health facilities.
Responsibilities include:
Importing and identifying bank deposits, remittance processing and scanning/indexing/document imaging; Ensuring Inter-company transfers are accurate; Working with Manager and staff to assist in process improvement, policy development, employee development/retention; Ensuring manual and electronic transactions are posted accurately and timely; Coordinating imaging and indexing activities, quality audits and vacancy coverage; New-hire training, and consistent guidance to Cash Applications team; Supporting cashier operations and credit balance resolution processes and providing back-up as needed; Assisting the department in meeting performance/posting goals; Monitoring associates' productivity, quality and workflow and reports to Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports management in leading, training and providing guidance to assigned Cash Application personnel. Train new employees on policies and procedures. Actively monitor open and unresolved requests and issues. Ensure resolution and follow up as needed. Monitors associates' productivity, quality and workflow and reports to Management. Perform lockbox and electronic funds transfer processing and assigns work to staff. Payment posting and credit resolution as primary function or in a backup role as needed to support adherence to the operating standards. Audits and reviews posting on a routine basis to ensure accuracy. Assists Manager with month end reporting. Maintains websites and user's access. Properly indexing to each patient's account. Assist the organization in identifying and processing refunds timely. Work with Manager and staff providing guidance and assistance in Identifying posting issues resulting in credit balances. Provide coverage to promote teamwork for critical functions when necessary to meet patient and departmental needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Associate's degree preferred in health-related field with relevant work experience in a clinical setting
Experience:
1 - 3 years of experience
