Job Description

The Retail Cashier in accordance with the affiliates mission, vision, and core values is responsible for customer service and sale of product, customer checkout, and facilitating an enjoyable shopping experience.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operate retail cash register quickly and accurately.2. Greet every customer entering and/or exiting the doors. 3. Manage a secure, neat, and orderly cashier station for quick and efficient operation to ensure a high level of customer service. 4. Ensure that volunteers complete tasks timely and safely, while having an enjoyable experience. 5. Answer phone calls and route the messages appropriately for the most efficient response time.
Qualifications:
Previous retail sales cashier operation, preferred Ability to lead and direct volunteers Basic Math Skills Ability to operate basic office equipment skills including phone, cash register, copier, fax Effective written and oral communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods of time Regular attendance is required Qualified candidates should have a positive and 'co-do' attitude, demonstrated record of dependability, responsibility and fallow through Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds This is a part-time hourly position 24 to 28 hours a week Diversity and inclusion are valued and contribute to the success of our organization.
