Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, handles transactions efficiently, and ensures a positive shopping experience. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive sales, maintain accurate cash handling procedures, and promote a welcoming environment for all shoppers. Responsibilities Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately during retail sales transactions. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product information or demos. Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising to ensure the store remains attractive and well-organized. Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance over the phone. Educate customers on store products to boost engagement and sales. Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves and conducting stock counts as needed. Ensure compliance with all cash handling procedures, safety protocols, and store policies at all times. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred Strong communication skills Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic retail math for accurate transactions. Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash drawer handling, cash handling accuracy, and balancing registers. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies enhances performance. Join our team!
