Job Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and Stocker, where you'll be the friendly face greeting customers and ensuring our shelves are stocked with the products they love. Duties Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product demos when needed Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and managing retail math calculations Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards Upsell products by suggesting complementary items and informing customers about promotions to boost sales Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or store-related questions via phone or online channels Assist with inventory management by receiving shipments, stocking new products, and conducting regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstocking Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential for smooth transaction processing Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or training new staff Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) to connect effectively with diverse customers Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and grocery store procedures will enhance your success in this role Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations Experience conducting product demos or upselling techniques to enhance customer engagement and sales performance
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 25.0 per week
