Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Operate the POS system to process transactions
- Greet customers entering the establishment
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with accuracy
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- Keep reports of transactions
- Upsell products and services when appropriate Skills
- Proficient in customer service
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with operating a cash register
- Basic math skills for calculating change
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Knowledge of retail math for discounts and promotions
- Supervisory experience is beneficial
