Join our team as a Seasonal Cashier. You will be the friendly face that welcomes customers into our bakery! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for shoppers, ensuring smooth and efficient checkout experiences while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments. Proper drawer handling and balancing at the end of each shift. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product locations or store policies. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies and merchandising as needed to enhance the shopping experience. Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure product availability and visual appeal. Demonstrate strong communication skills, including phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Requirements Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions. Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions confidently. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional communication style. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising standards, and sales techniques such as upselling.
