Job Overview:

Under the supervision of a Department of Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor or Manager, the Food Service Worker performs a wide variety of routine tasks such as itemize total food/beverage orders and ring orders into the cash register.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent required Basic math skills Ability to run a cash register efficiently and handle cash properly

Preferred:

Prior cashier experience preferred

Per Diem Position may require work every other weekend depending on the department's needs.

Essential Functions:

Itemize total food/beverage orders and ring orders into the cash register Collects payment from customers and makes change, maintains accuracy of the cash drawer Reconciles cash receipts to sales to verify accuracy of all transactions Maintain areas of the serving line.
