The role includes, ensuring the finest wines/other products are available for customers throughout the day, promoting store sales by offering customers' product recommendations and providing incredible customer service that meets or exceeds the store standards. What will I do? Lead with our values, always help others and ensure the Company remains a great place to work for all Efficiently perform all steps in the checkout process at a rate that meets Store requirements, accept and process different forms of payment and make accurate change to ensure no overages or shortages of money Prioritize assignments and complete them efficiently; assist others with additional tasks as needed Maintain the appearance of the sales floor, stock shelves, rotate items and ensure product levels are sustained to meet customer needs Set up displays and merchandise products in innovative and eye-appealing ways to promote products, reflect seasonal items, support the Store's various partners and drive sales in the store Proactively approach customers on the sales floor, make recommendations for food and wine pairings, help locate items and answer any questions about products or services offered while building positive relationships with customers and ensuring high standards Provide tastings of wines to customers in the store; properly set up and demonstrate products, follow wine sample programs and adhere to all state and store regulations Utilize resources continuously to expand knowledge about the wide variety of wines/products available in the Store, share acquired knowledge to assist customers Properly use equipment, handle products, and follow Company job aids/procedures, human safety, and comply with Company Policies and federal and state laws Perform other tasks essential to the proper functioning of the store as needed Preferred Qualifications Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery, restaurant, retail or wine shop setting Ability to assist all customers in finding the perfect product for whatever their needs may be Knowledge, passion, and experience working with wine Note to
