Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions efficiently. Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance the customer's shopping experience. Conduct product demos when applicable, showcasing features and benefits to encourage sales. Maintain an organized checkout area by stocking supplies, merchandising displays, and ensuring the register is clean and ready for use. Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with merchandising efforts. Experience Previous retail sales experience or cashiering experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar environments. Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for quick transaction processing. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team efforts. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations. Experience in customer service roles that require active listening, problem-solving, and maintaining professionalism under pressure.
