Job Description We're looking for a dependable, community-minded team member to join our co-op as a Closing Cashier . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a consistent schedule, takes pride in keeping a store clean and organized, and is comfortable getting the shop closed up and ready for the next day. Schedule Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday Closing Shift - 2pm-6:30pm - average of 13.5 hrs a week Opportunity for additional hours may be available Responsibilities Provide friendly, helpful customer service Operate the register and handle transactions accurately Stock shelves and face products throughout the shift Maintain a clean and organized store environment Complete store closing independently (Tallying the register, preparing deposit) Work both independently and as part of a small team Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred) Previous customer service experience Interest in food, local farms, co-ops, and grocery retail Reliable and punctual — Evening and Weekend availability is required Must be at least 18 years old to comply with alcohol sales regulations Comfortable checking IDs and following alcohol sale policies Comfortable with cash handling and basic math skills Physical Requirements Frequently lift and move boxes and containers weighing up to 50 lbs Safely climb and use ladders as needed for stocking and backstock Stand and remain on your feet for extended periods of time Ability to perform these tasks with or without reasonable accommodation About Us We're a small, community-focused grocery co-op offering fresh food, local goods, and a welcoming space for everyone.
