What they do
A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

Summary:
Audits mobile deposits to ensure accuracy and proper endorsement, approves/discards items as appropriate, and logs discarded items. Education and/orExperience:
A high school education or GED requiredMinimum of one year of general work experience preferredFinancial Services experience preferredJob Responsibilities:
Processes transactions in mobile payment and deposit system Verify all points of negotiability on mobile deposits as well as member informationSecure approval for transactions that are beyond the jobs authority and ensure accuracy of all processesExamine all checks received and compare to known fraudulent members and checks, understand the pattern with regards to protecting Teachers against fraudulent rings, accurately discard suspected fraudulent checks and follow procedures in place to submit tickets to the Fraud Department for reviewAssist staff with account research, review all notes for each member, and respond to internal email inquiries related to mobiles depositsComply with company policies, procedures, and guidelinesPerform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor Benefits of Joining theTeachers Team:
