Responsibilities Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges. Handle cash drawer with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and assisting with product demos when needed. Upsell additional items or promotions to enhance the customer's shopping experience and increase sales. Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising to ensure the store remains attractive and well-organized. Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone. Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and product placement based on retail math principles. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide seamless service. Engage in product knowledge sharing to educate customers about store offerings and promote retail store product knowledge. Experience Prior cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued! Supervising experience is a plus, especially when guiding new team members or managing customer interactions during busy periods. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills are essential for accuracy in transactions. Experience with retail sales, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management will help you excel in this role. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Strong communication skills, phone etiquette, and customer service experience are critical for building positive shopper relationships.
