$17.00/hour during 2-week training $18.00/hour after successful completion of training Full-time position only About the Position PJ Wine & Liquors is looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Full-Time Cashier to join our team at our Dyckman location. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy retail environment, enjoys helping customers, and can provide excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Operate the cash register and process cash, credit/debit, and other payments Accurately handle transactions and provide correct change Assist customers with questions and locating products Bag purchases and keep the checkout area clean and organized Restock merchandise and assist with general store duties when needed Follow all store policies and procedures Follow New York State alcohol sales laws and verify identification when required Maintain a professional and respectful attitude with customers and coworkers Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Full-time availability required Must be available to work weekends until 10:00 PM Must be available to work weekdays until 9:00 PM Must be available to work major holidays Shift assignments vary based on business needs Reliable and punctual Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment Able to stand and remain active for extended periods of time Able to lift and carry boxes/merchandise as needed Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but not required Important Hiring Requirement All required employment and identification documents must be ready and available on the first day of training. Training will be provided during the first 2 weeks at $17.00/hour . Upon successful completion of training, the hourly rate will increase to $18.00/hour .
