Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, including processing payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive store environment Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Support product demos and educate customers on store products to boost engagement and sales performance Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; grocery store experience is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are highly valued Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic retail math for accurate transactions Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team efforts Ability to handle cash drawer handling responsibly and perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and inventory stocking procedures Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to ensure positive interactions at all times Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Join us in creating a vibrant shopping environment where every customer feels valued!
