Duties Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately. Handle cash drawer management, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling sales at shift end. Provide friendly customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Upsell products and promote store specials or new merchandise during checkout to enhance sales opportunities. Stock shelves and maintain merchandising standards to ensure products are well-organized and visually appealing. Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits of items. Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries, ensuring clear communication at all times. Experience Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic retail math for accurate transactions. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in managing team tasks or training new staff. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking procedures. Experience with cashiering duties such as cash handling, cash drawer management, and retail sales transactions.
