Full Job Description Description:

SUMMARY The Cashier receives cash from customers and employees in payment for goods or services and records the amount received in an accurate manner. S/he is sometimes the customer's last contact with the dealership and therefore must represent the dealership in a friendly, professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Process customer payments for service and parts transactions using established processes utilizing pay methods approved. Responsible for processing payments and entering DMS correctly. Reconcile cash box and deposits daily with exact accuracy as per request of the accounting department. Submit timely and accurate cashier reports according to the established process. Maintain manufacturer certification. Review extended service contracts and submit for payment with service contract agencies as necessary Answer Service calls and assist with customer needs as instructed by management. Provide appointment scheduling for customers both at cashiering and on the phone using the xtime system. Maintain loaner vehicle fleet by utilizing available systems and following applicable process. Create loaner contracts and maintain documentation as required. Make outbound calls to follow up with customers, schedule appointments, and generate additional service business as requested. Review emails from BDC support and assist with customer needs. Advise service manager of any customer concerns or needs that require management's attention. Maintain work area tidy and organized. Ensure documents are filed appropriately and secure. Provide a positive customer experience. Assist the service manager in any other duties as directed. Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. One year of experience operating a cash register preferred. Will be trained on dealership computer systems, cash register and other office machines. Professional personal appearance. Ability to work well with customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting. Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities and interaction with managers and employees. Prolonged periods of sitting. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times. Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs. Occasional attendance at social gatherings. Ability to travel occasionally.

Valid Texas Driver's License Maintain a clean driving record
