As a Cashier & stocker , you will be an integral part of our store team, providing outstanding customer service, handling sales transactions, and ensuring a smooth and efficient shopping experience. In this role, you'll assist customers with product inquiries, process purchases, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area. You'll also play a key role in inventory management, ensuring the store is well-stocked and products are properly displayed. A passion for customer service and knowledge of liquor, wine, and spirits are essential for success in this position.

Customer Service:
Greet Customers:
Welcome customers with a friendly, professional attitude as they enter or leave the store. Offer assistance and answer questions about products.
Provide Product Knowledge:
Assist customers by recommending wines, spirits, and other products. Stay informed about store offerings, promotions, and new arrivals.
Handle Inquiries:
Address customer questions or concerns, resolving issues promptly and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales & Transactions:
Process Payments:
Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately using the POS system. Verify pricing, process payments, and provide correct change.
Apply Discounts & Coupons:
Ensure customer discounts and coupons are applied correctly, and assist with redemption of loyalty points, if applicable.
Count and Maintain Cash Drawer:
Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate cash levels and adequate change.
Store Operations:
Maintain Store Appearance:
Keep the checkout area clean and organized. Ensure product displays are well-stocked, tidy, and visually appealing.
Inventory Management:
Assist with stocking shelves, organizing products, and checking for low stock levels. Report inventory shortages or discrepancies to management. Adhere to

Follow all store policies, including responsible alcohol service as per TABC regulations. Ensure customers are of legal drinking age and practice safe alcohol sales protocols.

Age Requirement:
Must be 21 years of age or older (TABC compliance).
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or cashiering is preferred. Experience with liquor, wine, and spirits knowledge is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Basic math skills and experience with POS systems; must be able to process payments quickly and accurately.
Customer Service Skills:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to engage customers and provide a high level of service.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to resolve customer issues or concerns calmly and efficiently.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks like restocking and organizing products.
Time Management:
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions:
Schedule Flexibility:
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work shifts ranging from 6 to 11 hours.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders. Ability to handle up to 50 pounds of merchandise.
