What they do

A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

What will you do in this job? Provide and coach for excellent customer service Work with store manager to identify and meet the product related needs of the store on a daily basis Serve as manager on duty as needed Work alongside teams to meet store goals Assist with the training and development of new employees Control cash and complete banking functions Direct a retail sales floor team to be sure that customers are helped, shelves and racks are full and the store is clean Ring customer sales Help customers to locate merchandise Maintain a well-stocked and organized sales floor Complete cleaning tasks as needed Answer the phone with courtesy and respect Compensation and Benefits for
Full-Time Work:
Starting Rate:
$20.00, with eligibility for annual performance-based increases. Maximum pay is $24.09, achievable through sustained good performance and years of service.

Employee and dependent premiums shared between the company and employee.
Company-Paid Life Insurance:
Coverage provided at no cost to the employee.
Paid Vacation and Sick Leave:
Accrued based on hours worked. Paid Time Off (PTO): 8 hours available for use immediately upon hire.

Earned on the anniversary date of hire, based on full- or part-time status.

Retirement Savings Plan:

Enrollment entry dates are January 1st or July 1st. Work Schedule Full time. Days and hours are dependent on business needs.
