Position Summary The Entry Team Mate plays a vital front-line role in bringing "The Winning Formula" to life. Responsible for providing top-tier hospitality across our dual-concept layout, this position seamlessly transitions between serving premium dessert treats, maintaining a 15+ game modern arcade, and keeping facilities spotless. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-service, sports-centric environment built on creating happy memories where every guest leaves feeling like a winner. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Dessert Bar Operations Greet all guests with high energy and genuine hospitality to create a warm, welcoming community hub. Take guest orders accurately at the counter and navigate POS cash/card transactions efficiently. Scoop premium ice cream, build custom sundaes, pour specialty beverages, and maintain strict quality standards. Educate guests on seasonal ice cream flavors, daily specials, and arcade card or token promotion structures. Arcade Floor & Entertainment Support Monitor the 15+ game arcade area to ensure all machines are powered, clean, and operating properly. Assist guests of all ages with arcade gameplay, ticket redeemable prizes, and basic card dispenser troubleshooting. Promptly report mechanical or hardware issues on arcade machines to management. Maintain a well-organized, fully stocked redemption counter and assist guests in exchanging prize points. Sanitation, Safety & Stocking Sanitize dessert counter stations, dining room tables, seating areas, and arcade controllers continuously. Execute opening, mid-day, and closing cleaning checklists to satisfy local health code and brand safety standards. Restock ice cream tubs in dip cabinets, refill paper goods, toppings, and arcade prize inventory throughout shift. Safely handle food prep tools, dishwashing equipment, and proper chemical storage routines. Financial & Operational Stewardship Balance cash drawer entries accurately and follow all cash-handling protocol guidelines. Participate actively in team huddles, shift hand-offs, and store improvement initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceRequired Experience & Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior customer service, quick-service food, ice cream parlor, retail, or entertainment/arcade experience preferred (entry-level candidates with strong positive attitude welcomed).
Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or current enrollment in high school/secondary education.
Certifications:
Valid Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
Core Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Team-first mindset with strong reliability and punctuality. Basic numerical agility for operating register equipment and counting change.
Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsPhysical Demands Lifting Requirements:
Frequently required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs (e.g., ice cream tubs, beverage crates, prize restock boxes, trash bags).
Movement:
Constantly requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, scooping with wrists/hands, and moving across the food service and arcade areas for extended periods (4 to 8 hours per shift).
Communication:
Constantly requires giving clear verbal instructions and listening attentively to guest orders in a dynamic setting. Work Environment High-energy, neighborhood eat-ertainment environment featuring music, sports broadcasts, and arcade sound effects. Exposure to cold temperatures when working with ice cream freezer storage containers. Schedule requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate sports league celebrations and neighborhood events. Pay:
$17.13 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 35.0 per week
