Job Description
What We Offer This 8-12 week position provides Undergraduate level students with an opportunity to apply their developing knowledge and skills in health services administration/management, research, or policy. Students gain a better appreciation for the pressures that affect decision-making in today's healthcare environment and are able to identify additional skills they will need to better prepare them for a rewarding career in health care administration. Past projects have included working on a decision analysis for operating room staffing models, revenue cycle, determining departmental action plans, and focus group creation and implementation. And while finance will probably be a part of some of the projects, the majority of the learning opportunity and projects will be with the general administration of the hospital including all aspects of the clinical side of things, and how it interfaces with the business side. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
