Chief Revenue Officer Posted on April 24, 2025 April 24, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to take a leadership role in scaling revenue and driving growth at a specialty waste company with $100M in revenue and $25M+ EBITDA. This role is essential in managing and optimizing the entire sales organization, leveraging cross-functional strategies across sales, marketing, and customer success. We're looking for someone who is a strategic growth leader with experience scaling B2B organizations from $100M to $200M+. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to drive high-performance sales teams, integrate M&A opportunities, and utilize technology to accelerate growth. As a hands-on leader, the CRO will roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team, ensuring success across all revenue-generating activities. Position Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Strategy Build and lead a high-performing sales team to meet revenue growth targets, especially as we scale from $100M to $200M+ Develop and implement effective revenue strategies across sales, marketing, and customer success Optimize sales processes, CRM adoption, pipeline forecasting, and team training to achieve consistent, scalable results Foster a high-performance sales culture that drives accountability, collaboration, and results M&A Integration & Growth Lead and integrate post-acquisition revenue strategies, ensuring business continuity and achieving synergies Work with the team to identify strategic acquisition opportunities to expand market reach and customer base Support the growth strategy by optimizing operations, ensuring that sales execution aligns with the company's broader business objectives Sales & Marketing Alignment Collaborate with marketing and VP of Sales to integrate go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment and effective lead generation Strengthen the relationship between sales and marketing, ensuring smooth collaboration and growth in both existing and new markets Technology & Data Utilization Leverage CRM tools (HubSpot) and ERP (NetSuite) to streamline sales processes and improve team performance Explore and implement AI-driven strategies and technologies to enhance sales, marketing, and customer engagement Leadership & Team Development Oversee a team of approximately 15 people, developing talent and creating a culture of continuous learning and growth Ensure ongoing training for sales reps, including strategic selling, relationship building, and larger enterprise sales Prerequisites Experience in scaling B2B sales organizations, particularly in industrial markets, and driving revenue growth from $100M to $200M+ Proven success in M&A integration and ensuring post-acquisition revenue continuity Strong leadership and ability to build and scale high-performance sales teams Experience with sales process optimization, CRM adoption, forecasting, and using AI to boost sales effectiveness Excellent understanding of strategic selling, particularly in selling to large organizations Regulatory experience in industrial or hazardous waste markets is highly preferred but not required Ability to drive cross-functional alignment and achieve revenue goals while maintaining profitability and operational efficiency Proven success in scaling B2B sales organizations from $100M to $200M+ Strong expertise in sales process optimization and cross-functional alignment Experience with M&A integration and post-acquisition revenue strategies Degree/Certifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields. MBA or Advanced Certifications in Sales/Revenue Management (preferred)
