Civic Engagement Project
JOIN THE 2026 CNC
Canvassing Team! Communities for a New California (CNC) is a 501(c)(4) civil and human rights organization dedicated to advancing policies that are socially, economically, and environmentally just for California's families and communities. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as door to door canvassers in the Tulare area. Canvassers will engage directly with community members, provide nonpartisan voter education, and encourage voter participation and turnout for the November 3, 2026 General Election . This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community while gaining valuable experience in community organizing and civic engagement.

Monday -
Friday:
3:00 PM - 8:00
PM Saturday:
Off (unless scheduled for joint canvassing events)
Sunday:
Off Canvassers should be available to work the weekend immediately preceding Election Day and occasional Saturdays as needed for special canvassing events
Compensation:
$24.00 per hour for all staff. Physical Requirements Must be prepared to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and light rain. Must be able to walk for up to five hours per shift while canvassing neighborhoods. Must be able to perform light physical activities, including walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 10 pounds, such as campaign literature, clipboards, or tablets.
