We're hiring outgoing people to join our Boulder fundraising team. This can be a great fit for students, performers, creatives, hospitality workers, recent grads, community organizers, and anyone who enjoys meeting people and wants a job where communication is a big part of the day. You don't need fundraising experience. What matters more is that you're comfortable talking with new people, willing to learn, and able to stay positive when not every conversation goes your way. You'll represent nonprofit organizations working on causes including environmental protection, humanitarian aid, human rights, reproductive freedom, LGBTQIA+ equality, and social justice

  • helping turn everyday conversations into long-term support.

What the Job Is Actually Like This is face-to-face fundraising, so you'll spend your shift out in the Boulder community rather than behind a desk.

You'll:

Start conversations with new people Talk about important nonprofit campaigns Inspire people to become monthly donors Learn how to communicate confidently and persuasively Work toward individual and team fundraising goals Spend most of your day outdoors and on your feet Get regular coaching from experienced fundraisers It's social, fast-moving work where you'll meet a lot of people. And yes

  • you'll hear "no.

" Some people will be excited to talk with you. Others won't be interested. A big part of becoming good at fundraising is learning how to handle rejection, adjust your approach, and confidently start the next conversation. If you like challenging yourself and can stay upbeat when things don't go perfectly, you'll probably have a lot more fun here than you would at a desk. A Job That Builds Useful Skills Fundraising is basically a crash course in communication. You'll learn how to: Approach and connect with people you've never met Tell compelling stories Read a conversation and adjust your approach Handle objections and rejection Speak confidently about issues you care about Work toward measurable goals Receive coaching and put feedback into practice Those skills translate well into careers in nonprofits, advocacy, communications, sales, marketing, education, public engagement, leadership, and plenty of other people-focused fields. Experience in theatre or performance, hospitality, retail, customer service, teaching, camp work, campus organizations, advocacy, sales, canvassing, or community organizing can be especially useful here

  • but it is absolutely not required.

Schedule Our Boulder team works Tuesday through

Sunday :
Tuesday-Thursday:

11am-6pm

Friday-Sunday:

10am-5pm Minimum 3 full shifts per week 21-35 hours per week Full-time and part-time schedules available These are full 7-hour shifts, so you'll need to be able to commit to the complete shift times above. You'll work at different fundraising locations around Boulder, so you should also be comfortable getting to different meeting points. Who We're Looking For You might be a strong fit if you: Enjoy talking with people Aren't afraid to start conversations with strangers Care about social, environmental, humanitarian, or human rights issues Can stay positive after hearing "no" Are comfortable receiving feedback and trying a different approach Like being active and working outdoors Can reliably commit to at least 3 full shifts each week Are at least 18 years old No previous fundraising experience is required.
