Job Description

Face-to-Face Fundraiser / Canvasser $20/hr guaranteed + bonuses | 21-35 hours/week | Boulder, CO Want a job where you're out in the world, meeting people, and doing work that actually matters? We're looking for outgoing, motivated people who like being around others, care about making an impact, and want to build skills they can take with them wherever they go. As a Face-to-Face Fundraiser / Canvasser , you'll be out in the Boulder community representing nonprofit organizations and talking with people about causes that matter - from environmental protection and humanitarian aid to human rights, reproductive freedom, LGBTQIA+ equality, and social justice . You'll learn about the issues your nonprofit partner is working on, share their work with the public, and inspire people to get involved by becoming monthly donors. If you're social, energetic, and looking for work that's active, meaningful, and lets you meet people, you might be a great fit.
Fair warning:
this is definitely not a desk job. You'll spend most of your shift outside, walking, approaching new people, hearing "no," and working toward fundraising goals. It can be challenging, but you'll have a team beside you, ongoing coaching, and plenty of opportunities to get better at it. What You'll Do Talk with people face-to-face about important nonprofit campaigns Build genuine conversations with people from all walks of life Inspire people to support nonprofit organizations through monthly donations Work outdoors at different locations around Boulder Learn how to communicate confidently, handle rejection, and work toward goals Work alongside a supportive team that wants to see you succeed What We're Looking For You don't need fundraising experience. We'll teach you what you need to know. You'll probably enjoy this job if you: Like talking with people and aren't afraid to start a conversation Care about social, environmental, humanitarian, or human rights issues Can stay positive when someone isn't interested Are comfortable receiving feedback and trying new approaches Enjoy being active and working outdoors Are reliable and ready to contribute to a team Are at least 18 years old Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, theatre or performance, teaching, camp work, sales, canvassing, advocacy, or community organizing can be helpful, but it isn't required. 11am-6pm
Friday-Sunday:
10am-5pm Minimum 3 full shifts per week Full-time and part-time schedules available You'll work at different fundraising locations around the Boulder area, so being comfortable getting to different meeting points is important.
