Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Team Lead Canvasser and ignite community engagement through energetic face-to-face interactions! In this role, you will lead a motivated group of canvassers to connect with community members, promote our initiatives, and foster meaningful relationships. Your leadership will drive outreach efforts that make a real difference, all while developing your skills in sales, community engagement, and team supervision. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of grassroots campaigns and community-driven projects. Duties Supervise and motivate a team of canvassers to achieve outreach goals through door-to-door and outdoor canvassing activities Train new team members on effective face-to-face communication, canvassing techniques, and community engagement strategies Coordinate daily schedules, assign territories, and monitor team performance to ensure high-quality interactions Engage with community members using conversational skills to inform, educate, and gather feedback on various initiatives Utilize mobile devices for data collection, reporting, and communication during outreach activities Foster positive relationships with community stakeholders to enhance outreach impact and build trust Support fundraising efforts by promoting campaigns and encouraging community participation Requirements Proven supervising or leadership experience in field sales, canvassing, or outdoor work environments Strong communication skills with the ability to engage in meaningful conversations face-to-face and via telecommunication channels Experience in marketing, customer service, or community engagement preferred Ability to walk extensively during outdoor activities; reliable transportation such as walking or biking is essential Bilingual abilities are a plus to connect with diverse communities effectively Skilled in negotiation and persuasive conversation to motivate community participation Familiarity with mobile devices for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes Prior experience in fundraising or telemarketing is advantageous but not required This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about making a difference through direct community interaction.
