This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has successfully knocked doors, generated appointments or leads, developed new representatives, and understands how to create consistent results through strong recruiting, training, coaching, and accountability. The Door Knocking Team Manager will oversee the in-office, field training, performance coaching, and daily team management. The right candidate is a proven leader who leads from the front, can set the tone in the field, and knows how to motivate a team while maintaining a professional, honest, and customer-focused approach. Responsibilities Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard door-to-door sales representatives and appointment setters. Build and maintain a dependable team. Lead hands-on field training by working alongside new hires, demonstrating effective door approaches, opening statements, qualifying conversations, and appointment-setting techniques. Run weekly team meetings, , role-play exercises, territory assignments, and in-feild training. Establish clear daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations for doors knocked, conversations, appointments set, sit rates, and overall quality. Ensure all team members accurately represent the company policies, and comply with applicable door-to-door sales requirements. Work closely with sales leadership to improve territory strategy, messaging, hiring plans, appointment quality, and team performance. Address attendance, conduct, performance, and retention issues promptly and professionally. Lead by example by actively canvassing, demonstrating best practices, and helping the team achieve company growth goals.
Qualifications Proven experience as a successful door-to-door sales representative, canvassing leader, team leader, or door knocking manager. Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends, based on homeowner availability and team schedules. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing a door-to-door team in home improvement, solar, pest control, alarms, roofing, telecommunications, water treatment, or a similar residential sales industry. Experience hiring through job boards, social media, referrals, and local recruiting events. Experience building canvassing team What Success Looks Like Success in this role means building a reliable, well-trained, and accountable door knocking team that consistently produces conversations and set appointments with homeowners. You will co-work with a team manager to build a team together. This is an opportunity for an experienced field leader to take ownership of a growing team, develop future leaders, and directly contribute to the company's growth.
