Full-Time Position Overview The Canvassing Team Lead is responsible for leading Bo Lacey Construction's canvassing efforts and helping the team consistently generate qualified leads through door-to-door outreach, community events, and other local lead-generation opportunities. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Canvassing Team Lead will work alongside the canvassing team while also being responsible for planning where the team works, tracking performance, holding canvassers accountable, coordinating events, and finding new ways for the team to generate leads. We are looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, determined, organized, competitive, and comfortable leading others. This person should be able to motivate the team, create a positive environment, and also hold team members accountable for expectations and results. The goal of this position is simple: keep the canvassing team organized, motivated, accountable, and generating quality opportunities for Bo Lacey Construction. Key Responsibilities Lead & Manage the Canvassing Team Manage the day-to-day activities of the canvassing team. Set clear expectations for attendance, work hours, activity, professionalism, and performance. Hold canvassers accountable for completing assigned areas and meeting their goals. Work alongside the team in the field and lead by example. Help train new canvassers on company services, scripts, homeowner conversations, lead qualification, and objection handling. Coach team members who are struggling and help them improve their performance. Recognize and encourage strong performance. Maintain a positive, competitive, and results-driven team environment. Plan Canvassing Areas & Territories The Canvassing Team Lead will be responsible for determining where the team will door knock rather than waiting to be given locations each day.
Responsibilities include:
Researching and selecting neighborhoods and territories. Assigning areas to individual canvassers. Keeping track of areas that have already been worked. Identifying neighborhoods around active and completed Bo Lacey Construction projects. Evaluating which areas generate the most leads. Adjusting territory strategies based on results. Making sure canvassers are actively working their assigned areas during scheduled hours. Track Performance & Stats The Canvassing Team Lead is responsible for knowing how the team is performing.
This includes tracking:
Doors knocked Homeowner conversations Qualified leads generated Appointments scheduled Appointments that run Leads generated by each canvasser Leads generated by territory Event leads Team progress toward monthly goals Performance should be reviewed regularly to identify who is performing well, who needs additional coaching, and where changes need to be made. The Canvassing Team Lead will report results and progress to the Senior Marketing Manager. Find & Manage Events The Canvassing Team Lead will help grow lead generation outside of traditional door knocking by identifying opportunities within the communities we serve.
Responsibilities include:
Researching fairs, festivals, home shows, community events, and other lead-generation opportunities. Communicating with event organizers. Scheduling and coordinating approved events. Planning canvasser staffing for events. Working events alongside the team. Making sure team members are actively engaging attendees and generating leads. Tracking leads and results from each event. Evaluating which events are worth attending again. Create New Lead-Generation Opportunities We don't want this position to simply follow the same routine every day. The Canvassing Team Lead should continuously look for new and creative ways for the canvassing team to generate qualified leads.
This may include:
Targeting neighborhoods around current projects. Revisiting high-performing areas. Developing canvassing contests and challenges. Finding new community events. Testing different scripts or approaches. Coordinating canvassing efforts with Marketing campaigns. Identifying new opportunities for community outreach. Finding ways to improve homeowner engagement and appointment generation. This person should be comfortable bringing ideas to the Senior Marketing Manager and taking ownership of making the canvassing program better. What We're Looking For The ideal
Canvassing Team Lead:
Is friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking to anyone. Is determined and doesn't get discouraged easily. Is comfortable knocking doors and approaching people they don't know. Has natural leadership skills. Can motivate people while still holding them accountable. Is organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities. Is competitive and motivated by goals. Understands that results and activity both matter. Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do. Can identify a problem and work toward a solution. Is comfortable tracking numbers and using them to make decisions. Is dependable and consistent. Is willing to work evenings and weekends when canvassing schedules or events require it. Leads by example and is willing to do everything they expect their team to do.
Compensation & Bonus Structure Base Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Personal Lead Bonus :
The Canvassing Team Lead will earn: $30 for every qualified lead they personally generate. This rewards the Team Lead for continuing to actively canvass and generate opportunities while managing the team. Monthly Leadership KPI Bonus The Canvassing Team Lead also has the opportunity to earn an additional monthly leadership bonus - up to $750!

They take ownership of the canvassing program. The team knows where they are going, what is expected of them, and what goals they are working toward. Territories are planned intentionally. Performance is consistently tracked. Team members are coached and held accountable. Events are organized and productive. New lead-generation opportunities are continuously being identified. Most importantly, the canvassing team is consistently contributing qualified opportunities and appointments that help the Marketing Department reach its overall goals.
