Responsibilities Conduct door-to-door canvassing in various neighborhoods to inform residents about campaigns or issues Engage in face-to-face conversations, utilizing strong communication skills to educate and motivate community members Use mobile devices to record interactions, update contact databases, and track outreach progress accurately Promote campaign messages through persuasive negotiation and conversational engagement techniques Assist with fundraising efforts by encouraging donations and volunteer sign-ups during outreach activities Represent the organization professionally while walking neighborhoods or outdoor work environments Build rapport with community members, fostering trust and encouraging ongoing civic participation Qualifications Prior field sales or canvassing experience preferred; strong customer service skills are essential Demonstrated experience in community engagement or grassroots campaigning is a plus Comfortable walking outdoors for extended periods; outdoor work experience is advantageous Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate and persuade effectively Experience using mobile devices for data entry or communication during outreach activities Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and handle rejection professionally Must have reliable transportation This paid role offers an energetic environment where your proactive approach makes a real difference.
