Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Direct Digital Control (DDC)/Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) Operator to join our team in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and optimizing our facility's energy systems. Responsibilities Monitor and operate DDC and EMCS systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of control systems and equipment. Analyze system data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Respond promptly to alarms and system alerts, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Collaborate with facility management and engineering teams to implement energy-saving initiatives. Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and energy usage. Assist in training new staff on DDC and EMCS operations and best practices. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in energy management technologies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in HVAC, electrical, or related field preferred. Proven experience with DDC and EMCS systems in a commercial or industrial setting. Strong understanding of HVAC systems and energy management principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed. Union membership or willingness to join the union is required.
