$3,500-$4,000 per month, plus monthly auto and cell phone allowance

Tuesday-Saturday, 8-hour shift

Field-Based / On the Road Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Medical Device Representative / Orthotic Fitter to join our team. This is a field-based position responsible for delivering and fitting durable medical equipment (DME) for patients in accordance with physician orders, manufacturer guidelines, and company procedures. The Medical Device Representative / Orthotic Fitter works directly with patients, physicians, therapists, and clinic staff to ensure patients receive appropriate equipment, proper fitting, and clear education regarding the use and care of their devices. The ideal candidate has a medical or healthcare background, excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage a daily schedule while traveling between patient and clinic locations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Deliver and properly fit patients with prescribed durable medical equipment (DME) and orthotic devices. Educate patients regarding the proper application, use, care, and expected outcomes of their equipment. Perform minor adjustments or modifications to equipment as needed to achieve an appropriate and comfortable fit. Follow physician instructions, manufacturer recommendations, and company fitting procedures. Collect patient co-payments and other required payments at the time of fitting. Maintain and restock inventory at designated stock-and-bill clinic locations. Maintain accurate documentation of fittings, deliveries, inventory, and patient interactions. Conduct patient follow-up calls as needed to ensure proper equipment use and customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with physicians, therapists, clinic staff, and patients. Learn and apply basic medical insurance billing, documentation, and coding requirements related to DME. Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality at all times. Comply with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, company policies, and all other applicable regulatory requirements. Manage assigned territory, appointments, inventory, and daily responsibilities efficiently. Provide professional and responsive customer service to patients and healthcare providers. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in DME, orthotics, medical devices, patient care, or a related healthcare environment preferred. Customer service experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish professional relationships with physicians, therapists, clinic personnel, and patients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong active listening, reading, and comprehension skills with the ability to interpret medical charts, physician orders, reports, and correspondence. Ability to learn medical insurance requirements, DME documentation, and basic coding procedures. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities throughout the workday. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory as required. Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity associated with delivering, fitting, adjusting, and managing durable medical equipment. The employee must be able to: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Frequently walk, stand, bend, reach, and perform other physical activities throughout the workday. Safely transport and handle medical equipment and inventory. Maintain sufficient visual acuity to review physician orders, patient records, equipment instructions, and other documentation. Communicate clearly with patients, healthcare providers, and coworkers. Perform sustained physical activities for extended periods consistent with the essential functions of the position and applicable employment laws.
