Job Description
Job Overview Coast Fitness is a locally owned, family-run gym looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable person to manage memberships and coordinate scheduling. You'll be a familiar face at the front desk, helping members feel welcome while keeping membership records accurate and our class schedule running smoothly. Responsibilities Welcome members and visitors, answer questions, and provide tours to prospective members. Explain membership options and process sign-ups, renewals, account changes, and cancellations according to gym policies. Maintain accurate member records and help resolve routine billing and account questions. Keep the class schedule and instructor information current, including updates to the website. Coordinate instructor availability and arrange coverage for class changes or absences. Communicate schedule changes and cancellations promptly to members and instructors. Answer calls, emails, and in-person inquiries during scheduled hours. Ensure members scan their keys or sign in, and help guests follow check-in procedures. Keep the front desk organized and report maintenance, safety, or unresolved member concerns to ownership. What We're Looking For Strong customer service and communication skills. Attention to detail when handling payments, records, and schedules. Dependability and the ability to work independently. Comfort using email, scheduling tools, and membership software. A calm, respectful approach to member concerns. Previous customer service, administrative, or gym experience preferred. What Success Looks Like Members receive friendly, timely assistance; membership records stay accurate; instructors and members know about schedule changes; and ownership stays informed about issues that need attention.
