Job Description
Responsible for providing excellent customer service to the patrons of Fitness First. Assists patrons with membership renewals, program registrations and any other inquiries regarding Fitness First programming or other Park District programs and facilities. Provides courteous, professional, and friendly customer service to the patrons of Fitness First. Answers questions regarding Fitness First memberships and other Skokie Park District programs. Enters membership registrations into the RecTrac registration system. Processes cash and credit card transactions into the RecTrac system. Checks patron membership cards to verify that participant is an active member, and collects program fees from noon-members using Fitness First facility. Must be knowledgeable of all programs available through Fitness First and throughout the Park District. Responsible for assuring that there is an adequate supply of towels, to include laundering and folding, and is responsible for towel and locker key distribution to patrons. Responsible for providing facility tours to potential members and answering any questions about equipment or programs provided through Fitness First. Responsible for promoting Fitness First programs to members and potential members. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of the Fitness First reception counter area. Leaves work area orderly at end of shift. Answers phone calls, takes messages for staff as needed. Checks fitness floor regularly to ensure cleanliness and accessibility of equipment. Checks locker room regularly to ensure cleanliness and that supplies such as paper products, shampoos, and soaps are replenished as required. Assists Fitness Center Manager with light office duties as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Must have a pleasant and enthusiastic personality, and the ability to work with staff and interact with patrons in a courteous, knowledgeable and efficient manner. Adheres to and actively enforces the safety responsibilities and safety procedures outlined in the District's Safety Manual, and overall risk management program. 5:15 am- 10:30 am; 10:30 am
- 4:00 pm; 4:00pm
- 9:15pm
Weekends Shifts:
5:30- 10:30am; 10:30am
- 3:30pm; 3:30
- 8:15pm Must be an adult, at least 18 years of age. Require High School diploma or equivalent (GED). Minimum one year customer service experience along with computer skills and cash handling experience required. Must possess excellent customer service skills.
