Description:
CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR WEEK NIGHT EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS POSITION SUMMARY
Deliver excellent customer service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes/sells memberships and programs as well as maintains cleanliness and organization of the Welcome Center and lobby area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Welcome Center Staff 1. Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, while contributing to member retention. 2. Responds to the needs of prospective members by answering questions, giving tours, and selling memberships. 3. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA. 4. Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues. 5. Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services and has knowledge of program sessions, etc. Registers program participants and receives payment at the time of registration. 6. Performs projects for the Welcome Center and overlaps in other departments as needed.

Working Conditions:
Most of this job can be done at a sitting or standing workstation. Occasional lifting and/or bending may be required. Openers and closers must be able to navigate all parts of the building. Aiding other staff in projects or working with YMCA or rental events may require indoor and/or outdoor settings as needed. Starting pay will be $17.00. Upon successful completion of 90 reviews, pay will increase to $18/hour.
