Job Description

Ebels General Store in Reed City is seeking a Part-Time friendly and dependable Merchandising Associate to join our team. This versatile role combines customer service, cashiering, and merchandising responsibilities to ensure an excellent shopping experience for our customers. Team members in this position help maintain organized and inviting sales floors, provide efficient checkout service, assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, and support other store operations as needed. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding Ebels' high standards for professionalism, appearance, and customer service. Compensation for this position ranges from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide friendly, helpful service. Assist with receiving, checking, and preparing products for sale. Stock shelves and displays, ensuring items are rotated, faced, labeled correctly, and replenished throughout the day. Operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently to move materials and products throughout the facility. Maintain cleanliness and organization on the sales floor and in the stockroom. Break down cardboard boxes and operate the compactor. Perform general housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash. Accurately operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions. Handle money responsibly, including issuing receipts, credits, or change due to customers Collaborate with team members and assist in other duties as assigned. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to work shifts with rotating Saturdays. Primary shift 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Store hours: Monday-Saturday, 7:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. Join a team that values hard work, service, and community.
